Big heart thump while laying down?

I get this weird heart thump sound in my chest while laying down. specially when about to sleep and watching TV. Im not overweight, I play Tennis 3 hrs a a day 4 times a week. I run 2 miles every other day. so im fit except for this weird heart thump.

When I was a kid I was diagnose with heart palpitation. but thats like 18 yrs ago.

    Well there back again. You should see your family Dr for a cardiac workup which should include an ecg, bloodwork, echocardiogram and a holter monitor. Your probably having PVC’s, premature ventricular contractions. I get them and that’s exactly the way I described them to my cardiologist. In most people they are considered a benign condition but you should let your Dr know that there back, take care, Donna

    Never hurts to get checked out if you are worried about it. If you are laying on your left side when it happens, try the right side. It works on me and they say a lot of patients report that in my Cardiologist’s office. Of course I am a cardiac basket case who’s idea of a workout is a trip to the mailbox.
